Upgrading My MadCatz Fight Stick

by Mike B. on January 10, 2010

065I have taken on a small project over the last few days. While playing some online matches the other day, I became EXTREMLY fed up with the unresponsiveness of certain buttons on my MadCatz Street Fighter IV stick. I figured it was probably a loose connection causing the issue and opened the stick up to get it working right. Well turns out it was not a loose connection at all just cheap crappy parts used. With that bit of information, I just said screw it and ran to Amazon to buy all new components and upgrade my stick.

I ended up buying all Sanwa buttons and a clear ball top for the joystick. I also took the joystick apart to fix the washer issue before that became a major problem. The buttons will take about 5 days to get here so my stick is laying in pieces until the parts arrive. Once swapped out, hopefully I will be able to get some good sessions in with parts that actually work. Enjoy the pictures I took so far, not much but shows the guts of the stick for those interested.
